Tidbits: Course offered for food entrepreneurs

From the Winston-Salem Journal: Blue Ridge Food Ventures and the Asheville Center for Professional Studies will co-sponsor a 16-hour, two-day course for people interested in starting a food business.

The course, “The Biz Behind the Food Biz,” will cover how to take a winning recipe or kind of food and turn it into a business. Topics include financing, inventory sourcing, management, production, compliance with the FDA, legal issues, packaging and marketing.
